Unexpected amount of waste found in poor seabird.

Seabirds are dying from eating our rubbish which also kills the baby seabirds because their parents are feeding them our plastic and rubbish.

Humans are not being responsible for their rubbish, plastic and waste so they just dump it near the gutters and on the sidewalk. People can help the environment by

picking up rubbish and plastic even though it is not theirs. People should know that if they dump rubbish or plastic near the gutters it will eventually go into our sea and ocean. The sea creatures in the sea and ocean will die if we do not stop throwing rubbish in the gutters. People can help this situation and  animals and sea creatures by not littering.

We need to teach the young ones what goes in the recycling bin and what does not and you can also show the young ones what happens if you do not put recycling in the
recycling bin. Tamara a student from Bairds Mainfreight Primary School has shared her concerns and said  “It would be horrible that all seabirds will be extinct because seabirds are marvellous and interesting creatures to learn about”.

We should take care of our community even the sea creatures around us. We should not litter or we will kill not only the seabirds but every creature around you and I. Now you know that the rubbish leads to the sea what would you do if you saw someone littering?
